Roselle

Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a species of Hibiscus and I really fell in love with this plant. We were at the Garden Centre and I was so stunned by this beautful, delicate pink flowers and reddish buds. But then I spotted something else… it was a hairy little thing on the plant… a wonderful hairy caterpillar – a bit shy but I got a glimpse on it.

Southern Ridges – Kent Ridge Park

The last part of our Southern Ridges Walk took us along the Canopy Walk to Kent Ridge Park and finally to Science Park I. It was an amazing morning with lots to see and photograph and I really enjoyed nature, the city, silence, tranquility and the lush greenery inmidst the Singaporean urban jungle.

A Lingering Look at Windows ~ September

Here are some window photos I took at Hort Park. Those windows are not ‘normal’ ones but they are framing nature and civilisation in a very unique way. I really like this windows a lot.
Enjoy and have a look at other stunning windows @ A Lingering Look at Windows.

Southern Ridges – Hort Park

A wonderful place to be for all nature lovers and photographers is Hort Park. It brings together gardening-related, recreational, educational, research and retail activities. There’s something for young and old – a beautiful, tranquil & colorful place to be.

Southern Ridges – Part II

The journey continues… we walk along the Forest Walk, the Singing Forest – and yes, it literally sings! I never heard such a variety of birds singing like there! – and Alexandra Arch. It’s amazing how nature and man-made architecture and civilisation blends in.

Southern Ridges – Part I

Today we walked the Southern Ridges – it’s a unique trail that spans from Mount Faber to Kentridge Park and to Labradore Nature Reserve. It is amazing for nature lovers and photographers. We started early in the morning and it was simply stunning and breathtaking. The Fauna and Flora of Singapore is a beautiful one and even though I took some nice snapshots, they can’t match nature’s real beauty.

For part I of the walk I will show you some photos from Marang Trail to the Forest Walk.

Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: 2016 Week 34

For this week I decided to post this wonderful Merlion.
It is a so called ‘CANstruction’ and was built for “Together WE CAN”.
I love the idea behind it and that the canned food was distributed to families in need afterwards. And there was the possibility to purchase a “Passion Pack” to help a bit more with daily necessities for the elderly.
