Penhaligon’s Artemisia

Sometimes I watch TV and a while ago I saw a short documentation/ advertisement about Penhaligon’s London. Penhaligon’s was founded in the late 1860, it’s a perfume house with a long tradition and famous names. The owner was  William Henry Penhaligon who was Court Barber and Perfumer to Queen Victoria.
The TV presenter Jenny Powell was at the perfume house and it was a pleasure only to have a look at all the perfumes (the bottles are gorgeous!) – but the desire to have one of those fragrances at home grew more and more.

Yesterday my husband and I happened to be at ION Orchard where Penhaligon’s runs a perfume boutique, too. I couldn’t resist and walked in and I was caught by all of those wonderful fragrances immediately. It was like a whole bouquet of flowers combined with herbs and spices, lemons and other citrus fruits. I really can’t describe it, there are no words for it… you’ll simply have to try it (;

I had some great time trying various fragrances – I prefer the lighter, citrusy and slightly powdery ones – and listening to all the stories about every perfume and I found my absolute favorite – ARTEMISIA. This fragrance was created in 2002 and it is simply beautiful! Floral and fruity (nectarine, green apple, lily, jasmine tea,…), powdery and silky (vanilla, amber, musk,…). There’s no possibility you are able to smell on it but I can share some pictures with you (:
