The ‘other’ cinema

I really love movies and therefore it’s no wonder that I love cinemas too. It’s the flair, the atmosphere, the mixed popcorn (sweet and salty – yummy) and coke, the people – and of course the huge screens. There are some cinemas in Singapore that I really like but one is definitely something special. It’s The Projector – and as soon as you step out of the lift you’ll find yourself in a totally different time. Back in the days, back in the Fifties and Sixties and Seventies. And the movies there are not the typical blockbusters, no – they show independent movies, good old movies we all love, movies ‘out of the box’, movies from all over the world and for everyone’s taste. One big plus for me is the sweet popcorn… it’s caramelly and really, really nice when you mix it with the salty one. You’ll get the good old paperbags for it and not the modern boxes with promo all over.
So when you’re in Singapore, check it out… it’s definitely worth it!
