Chock Full Of Beans

It is amazing how many wonderful cafes are there in Singapore but a really exceptional one is Chock Full Of Beans @ Changi Village. A friend suggested it to me and I was really excited being there. The cafe itself is very cosy and homey, there are not too many seats in- and outdoors but we were there in the afternoon so it was not that packed like on weekends or evenings. But the real amazing thing is the 3D Coffee Art they do. You can ask them to create some really nice artworks on top of your iced latte. And the cakes were amazingly yummy too! I definitely will come back (:

Thursday Lingering Look at Windows: Week 43

For this weeks challenge on Thursday Lingering Look at Windows I decided to show some windows that I’ve seen in the Pinang Peranakan Mansion. I fell in love with those windows, they are more than simple windows. In my eyes they are pure art. But have a look for yourself and enjoy the workmanship behind those windows.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Bridges

There are many bridges here in Singapore but I decided to show only one – Alkaff Bridge.
This bridge – named after the prominent Arabian family, the Alkaffs – was built in 1997 and in 2004 it was painted in vibrant colors by Filipino artist Pacita Abad (1946–2004) and a team of rope specialists. It is a pedestrian steel truss bridge that spans the Singapore River at Robertson Quay.  Alkaff Bridge is shaped like a light boat called ‘tongkang’ which was used in the early days to transport goods along rivers.
