Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Rocks of Any Size – Batu Caves

050714-black-and-white-4

Batu Caves, Malaysia

The Batu Caves are located around 15km outside from Kuala Lumpur – and you definitely have to see this enormous limestone hill with its numerous caves. It’s stunning – even though climbing the 272 steep steps and the bold macaques can be quite exhausting. But you have to overcome it because when you have reached the temple cave, you’ll have goosebumps and there’s such an amazing energy. The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old! There are three main caves and numerous smaller ones. You can see stunning statues, shrines, amazing stalactites and stalagmites, flora and fauna.
